Saalbach, Austria – part of the Ski Circus ski region and ideal for ski holidays just south of Salzburg airport.
The ski holiday resort of Saalbach is located south of Salzburg and is part of the extensive Ski Circus ski region, including the ski resorts of Leogang, Hinterglemm and Saalfelden. Of these resorts Saalbach is probably the best known and certainly the liveliest, with awards going to Saalbach for its après ski nightlife. The skiing in Saalbach is predominantly intermediate and offers sunny, tree-lined pistes and extensive ski pistes and lifts to explore the area. Saalbach has one of the most lively après ski scenes in Austria with beers flowing in the slope-side bars, well before the last lift has stopped. With around 200km of ski pistes and over 50 lifts, the skiing in Saalbach and the ski Circus is extensive.
